I listened to your first podcast today. It was an interesting review of the MSU and Purdue games. You might want to gather a list of basketball terms and use them in your commentary a bit more (have either of you played basketball recently?. Try and not pick up too many bad habits from Dick Vitale though.
I would like to hear more dirt about the Gopher players as well as upcoming foes. Any kind of info on opponents could be used by fans going to the games.
A quick summary of the Gophs standing in the conference and nationally would be nice also.
Take a look at Sid Hartman's column for some reporting tips and inside scoop you could track down. That man is an icon in MN sports.
Overall review: excellent first effort. It sounded like you were both well prepared. I look forward to listening to some of your future podcasts when you really start hitting your stride as a commentary crew.
